From then on, Central’s offense and defensesynchronized as they blazed past Douglas49-0at Swisher Field for the 19thHub City Bowl.Sam Rohlfs tossed three touchdowns on 164 yards as Central churned out 345 yards of total offense in their Class 11AA debut, with the defense clamping downon Douglas for only 50 yards of total offense and zero completions on eight attempts.

Brandon Valley 14, Rapid CityStevens 0 --The Lynx (1-0) collected 126 rushing yards, headlined by Jordan Johnson and Delvoun Spears-White, who picked up 60 and 57 yards on the ground, respectively. Lucas Slack completed 9 of 16 passes for 114 yards and threw one touchdown.Slack’s lone touchdown came on his squad’s opening drive after Stevens’ first possession resulted in a three-and-out. He connected with Noah Thompson on a 32-yard pass to get Brandon Valley on the board early.

Canistota 34, Elkton-Lake Benton 18 --Isiah Robertson ran for 86 yards with two TDs and Ethan Balvin ran for 71 yards with two touchdowns. Noah Kleinsasser ran for 78 yards and a touchdown. For Elkton, Ryan Krog ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Tage Ortman had 149 passing yards and a touchdown for Canistota.

Canton 28, Dell Rapids 6 --The C-E Hawks ran for 252 yards and had touchdowns from Luke Richardson, Payton Eben, Avery Herting and Tadesse VanDeStroet. Richardson ran for 79 yards. Beau Williams had 10 tackles. Landon Leusink had 70 yards receiving and a touchdown for Dell Rapids.

Castlewood 55, Britton-Hecla 20 --Another big night from Carson Kirwan, 246 yards rushing on 24 carries and four touchdowns, led the Warriors (2-0). He scored on runs of 4, 54, 24 and 5 yards.Tristan Nielsen connected with Jackson Schofield on scoring passes of 10 and 13 yards and Quincy Thu (36 yards) and Camron Eng (4 yards) added TD runs for Castlewood. Jaron Tharaldsen added five point-after kicks. Aidan Fredrickson rushed for 101 yards and scored all three TDs for the Braves (0-2). He scored 7- and 11-yard runs and a 74-yard kickoff return.

Chester 43, Bon Homme 0 -- Stratton Eppard completed 13 of 19 passes for 262 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 156 yards with TD runs of 57 and 46 yards. Jovi Wolf had three catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Benson and Max McGreevy also had receiving TDs.

Clark/Willow Lake 22, Dakota Hills 0 --Trey Huber rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown and Cole Brenden added 56 yards rushing and two TDs for the Cyclones (2-0).Huber dashed 80 yards to the end in the first half and Brenden scored from 1 and 4 yards out in the second half. Huber also hooked up with Mitchell Larson on a pair of conversion passes.

Colome 36, Sunshine Bible Academy 12

Dell Rapids St. Mary 40, Alcester-Hudson 0 --Gabriel Lindeman ran for 117 yards with two touchdowns to lead the Cardinals. Nic Gaspar ran for 56 yards, C.J. Smith 48 yards and Lucas Flemmer 46. Both had rushing touchdowns. Smith threw for 94 yards and a touchdown. Gabriel Lindeman had 7.5 tackles.

De Smet 54, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 0 — Colt Wilkinson completed four of six passes for 83 yards, rushed for 75 yards and accounted for five touchdowns to power the state’s top-rated Class 9A Bulldogs (2-0). Wilkinson scored on runs of 18 and 16 yards and also connected with Kalen Garry (40 yards) and Rett Osthus (18 and 15 yards) on scoring passes.Garry (52 yards), Trace Van Regenmorter (3 yards) and Gannon Gilligan (24) added TD runs.

Estelline/Hendricks 40, Waverly-South Shore 0 -- Hezikiah Kreger scored three rushing touchdowns with 23 yards and Caden Ching ran for 72 yards and a score.

Lennox 21, West Central 20 --Lennox scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to rally past Lennox. The Orioles trailed 20-7 when Braden Wulf threw a 19-yard TD pass to Jackson Arlt. They followed that up with another Wulf touchdown pass to Steven Christion, their second connection of the night. Wulf threw for 254 yards and Christion had 168 yards on six receptions. For West Central, Justin Zirpel ran for 103 yards and scored two touchdowns. Gavin Koch threw for 131 yards.

Leola/Frederick 44, Langford 15 --Hans Lapka rushed for 91 yards and scored four touchdowns to propel Leola-Frederick. He scored on runs of 8, 25 and 15 yards and also hauled in a 38-yard scoring pass from Brayden Sumption. The Titans also scored on a 20-yard fumble return by Will Nordine and a 2-yard run by Stephan Achen. Jesse Keough scored on runs of 10 and 19 yards for Langford Area (0-2). Benjamin Gustafson ran for 111 yards and Keough 49. Aden Godel made 10 tackles and Kalen Godel six.

Madison 42, Custer 0 -- Nate Ricke threw for 142 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns as Madison shut out Custer. Bruce Galde ran for 92 yards and added two touchdowns. Ricke also threw a touchdown pass to to Mickale Dohreh. Madison held Custer to 89 yards rushing and 57 yards passing. Trey Smith had four tackles and five unassisted.

Milbank 52, Chamberlain 0 -- Bennett Schwenn ran for 86 yards and two touchdowns and Marshall Voeltz scored on a 2-yard run and ran for 36 yards. Barrett Schneck had a 15-yard interception return and Sawyer Gauer a 31-yard fumble return.

Danzeisen scored on a 17-run and hauled in a 58-yard TD pass from Puetz. Puetz, who rushed for 128 yards on 19 carries and completed 11 of 15 passes for 141, scored on runs of 3 and 33 yards. Blake Larson teamed with Mason Schelske three times for 57 yards, including scoring passes of 37 and 7 yards for WWSSC (0-1). Larson completed seven of 16 passes for 82 yards and also recorded 10 tackles.
